I am not a computer tech type person like a lot of you so i can't give you a detailed review on what this computer does on the inside. I am an everyday computer user and I love this laptop. I have only had HP computers in the past and I took the chance on a Toshiba. I wish I had changed a long time ago. I can't believe the ease of installing programs and my printer. If i didn't know what i was doing a box came up to tell me. This laptop is beautiful and so well made. I can't believe I got it for this price. Everything came working with no problems at all. There wasn't a lot of "stuff" I had to take out before using it. The widescreen is great and I feel like i'm sitting in front of my desktop. I had originally gotten it for my daughter but I am ordering another one for her. I'm now sold on Toshiba. I went to the Toshiba site and filled out forms to get the windows 7 free. I had to upload a copy of the receipt. It said I could mail or fax it if that was easier. They will send me an email when they mail it to me in October. I didn't expect to get such a nice computer for this price.

I'm not that great at reviews, but what I can say, this laptop is definitely worth the price! There is everything you need in here. The only problem I would say is that there was this random clear sticker on the webcam, so I peeled it off with my finger, not knowing that the area around the webcam is sort of a soft texture, never the less I scratched the area by the webcam a little but that is okay. This laptop is definitely worth $650, don't buy a mac, get this!

I received my laptop as advertised with Windows Vista Premium. It has a wonderful display, and the small amount of junk software was easily removed. The battery life is very very good for the size and power of this device. Toshiba's load management software seems to assist in keeping the machine's power needs in check with your needs. Audio fidelity is excellent. Weight is very acceptable considering it's size and it doesn't get very hot sitting directly on your lap!
All-in-all, I really like the laptop but am left with a couple of observations.
1. The finish is entirely too glossy. It's sexy, but with the normal oils on your hands causes this beauty to look dingy, dull and frankly un-sanitary. If you keep a micro-fiber cloth handy you can buff you machine and keep it looking nice.
2. The keyboard is flat (and I do mean FLAT) keys are hard to get use to if you are comfortable with the typical keys that are concaved for easy seating of your finger tip(s).
I do have one technical concern, and that is.. the power jack for the power supply is too long to be fully inserted into the side of the laptop. Meaning some of the shiny chrome on the barrel of the connector is actually visible. That translates into the female power connector becoming stressed (inside the laptop) from being pulled on during normal use. Toshiba be prepared for warranty returns! Mine already wiggles just a bit. A connector that can fit so tight against the laptop that it feels as if snaps into place would cause far less stress on the machine and power supply cord (Toshiba look at HP's design...hint hint). There is a FIX. Purchase a small rubber grommet and put it over the barrel of the male connector on the power supply cord pushed back to the black plastic. This will provide the much needed relieve from the connector being wiggled back and forth as it fills the void between the connector and the wall of the laptop.
Outside of that... a very nice and extremely fast machine!
